Ticket To Life for Street Children

Yesterday seems to be tiring day but very satisfied and I'm too happy that we just finish our orientation with the Street Children " Ticket To Life" Project for the street children in the 8 countries namely: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, INdia, Indonesia, Mongolia, Pakistan,Nepal and Philippines. This project is created by the World Scout Bureau wherein the difficult Life of these eight countries street children will become more meaningful life. Their Ticket is through Scouting movement by the work of their unit leaders or troop leader who will be their guide and will give them more meaningful life as they have their troop meeting every Saturday of the week for one year and aside from that they will be given a chance to join all the scouting activities of the Phlippines,District Level, Council , Regional, and International as well. In that way they will never feel rejected instead they belong to this community. In the Phlippines it started in Malate, Manila which is initiated by the National Coordinator of this TTL Project Sctr. Sophia Castillo and her Troop Leader. Then followed by Zamboanga City and just yesterday we made it in Davao City , 'i'm proud to say that we made it coz they (Streer Children of Davao) made a response to our call. Despite of all the rugged faces, no slippers, clothes like rags I still treat them as my little kids. Hope im one of the millionaire of this world so i can help them more wish to buy them slippers but all i can offer to them is my teachings in scouting, personal hygiene and the values as well. Even if they hated their family im still encouraging them not to hate them instead to love them. That is the essence of life to find peace is to love and learn to accept.

1st Unit Leaders Camp in Malagos

I Just came from Camp Malagos Baguio District, since im one of the Staff in the 1st Unit Leaders Camp one of the new activities in BSP Boy Scouts of the Philippines. It started on May 8-10,2009. It was quite sad and happy since its my birthday last May 9, happy coz im with a lot of people where in i was advised by them to stay infront of the crowd hearing them sang "Happy Birthday" Its quite so unusual to me first time happen in my life. Then on the night a lot of lechon were being prepared 6" Lechon BAboy". I am sad coz i missed my daughter and my brothers and sisters. But this is my life i have my commitment in scouting i have to sacrifice.
There were a lot of things i've learn there and one of the most important thing is when I MET on of my friends in scouting named Mary Ann, I couldn't believe that she is an insulin dependent, seeing her injecting her own legs really made me pity her. I volunteered to be the one to do it since i could not dare watching her doing it by herself. I asked her how to do it and then finally i made it. Since then im the one doing it injecting her twice a day. Im too happy to have helped her too. I love this girl shes too kind , intelligent, friendly and kindhearted too. Most of all shes very brave and fighter as well. I have a lot of friends there too named laida, margie and the participants and all of the staff on that Camp.

Street Children

These days might be hectic and busy days for me since im doing work with the Street Children in Davao City, particularly at the back Mc Donalds ( Victoria Plaza Mall area) We started taking pictures and getting information from their family then i found out some of these kids dont have parents some too doesnt know his/her age. This coming Saturday will be their first meeting wiht me wherein I will teach them scouting. Teaching then good values as well as personal hygiene and so with skills, talents, and everything that will make them mold and responsible. They all need love and care.
